Our Story
We work in partnership with Care-To-Share of Beaverton to provide a shopping pantry that will meet a family’s needs. Please call Care-To-Share at 503-591-9025 Monday thru Friday 9 am to 2 pm to make an appointment.

We accept walk-in clients, but there’s less waiting with an appointment. Shopping includes non-perishable foods and a variety of fresh, nutritious food including milk and fresh vegetables.

During the COVID-19 closure, you will call the church phone number when you have arrived for your appointment at 503.524.5230 to let us know you're here, and we will take your order based on the size of your family. The order will be filled and brought out to you to load into your car. We are doing this with social distance and minimal contact.

For inquiries, or if you would like to volunteer email the food pantry directly at: mhccfoodpantry@gmail.com

BACKGROUND:
The pantry was started in 2005 by the Church Elders as a free food program to help our neighbors with the Oregon Food Bank as an agency partner. The majority of the 7,000 people we served last year are referred to us by Care-To-Share. We have grown to a core of 70 dedicated volunteers who worked over 3,000 hours last year – with no paid staff.

AGENCY PARTNERS AND DONORS:
25 Partner Agency and Advocates including New Seasons, Franz Bread, Alpenrose, Scouts food drives and “Friends of the Pantry” are generous supporters.

We have current grant support from Safeway/Albertsons Foundation, the National Benevolent Association (part of the Christian Church Disciples of Christ national organization) and City of Beaverton Social Services Committee.

Our Pantry sincerely appreciates the generous donations and would not be able to operate without them.
